Removing the Symptom of Disease
The art of persuasion in medical matters is based on symptomology.
- The patient describes a symptom to a practitioner.
- The practitioner gives the symptom a name.
- The practitioner prescribes a ‘remedy’ for the treatment of the symptom.
- The patient pays the bill, applies the remedy and watches and waits - hoping for remediation of said symptom.
- Sometimes the symptom disappears.
- Sometimes the symptom disappears and reappears in a different place.
- Sometimes the symptom disappears and an entirely different one appears.
The symptom is not the disease per se.
The symptom is a response from a living organism that something is ‘out of balance’ within the organism.
All diseases are ‘conditions’ of a living organism.
A healthy organism displays conditions of vitality, happiness, energy, mobility, flexibility etc. while a diseased condition will display conditions contrary to these.
All conditions of disease go through a process.
They begin with;
- Irritation - it may be physical, chemical or mental/electro-magnetic. Usually, an irritation is so slight that it goes by unnoticed and is disregarded.
If the irritation remains in effect, then the next stage of disease is;
- Inflammation - with an associated build up of heat. A good illustration of this stage is a blister.
If the irritation is not removed, the next stages of disease are;
- Ulceration and hardening (other names incl; sclerosing and induration)
After the ‘callous’ or hardening of the tissues has developed and the ‘irritation’ still remains in effect, the next condition will usually be termed cancerous.
As you can see from this definition - a condition is not a quiescent state of affairs but rather it is an active one, moving from one stage to another with accompanying changes in tissue quality.
The remedy in ALL conditions is to remove the cause(s) - in this explanation - to remove the irritation.
Once the irritation has been removed, the living organism will proceed to reverse its tendency and move toward a state or condition of normalcy - health.
YES! The body heals itself - provided that it has enough latent energy to complete its task - and of course - provided that the condition has not proceeded toward its termination.
I sincerely hope that you get the gist of the difference between ’symptomology’ and ‘conditionality’ and proceed along your own path with the least amount of irritation possible.
All the best in living in your own harmony.
