Though you are correct that there is no such thing as the lower abdomin there is a muscle called the pyrimidialis muscle that tenses the linea alba with is the tendon that runs from your sternum to your pelvic bone. The pyrimidialis muscles is responsible for the highly sought after six pack since it divides the abdominus rectus in half.

Also, the abdominus rectus is barely connected to the sternum. It is mostly connected to the 5th and 7th ribs.

Thought all the facts should be shared. Lower abdominal workouts are just as important.</description>
